YOUTH HOCKEY INFO
Roskill-Eden’s youth club caters for players at high school (years 9-13) who wish to play hockey for a club. All experience levels are welcome.
Hockey is able to be played under all Covid-19 Traffic Lights and Junior trainings and games will proceed.

Trainings for all youth teams are on Monday evenings at the Mount Roskill Grammar School hockey turf. Premier competition games are played on Friday nights, Championship competition games are played on Sunday mornings (with the occasional evening) at venues across Auckland. It will be determined after trials which competition (Premier or Championship) teams will be entered into.

When registering to play hockey for Roskill-Eden Hockey Club you are agreeing to all the player terms & conditions outlined in the below document and to pay the relative membership fees charged by the club. The club is a not-for profit organisation and memberships are critical to the on-going survival of the club. The membership fees that we request help to cover the following costs:
Auckland Hockey Association affiliation fees (90% of fees)
Turf hire for practices
Playing and training gear
Membership Fees are outlined below:
Membership fees must be paid in full by the first game of the season.
No Pay, No Play!
Fees are inclusive of GST.

Goalkeepers that provide their own gear are entitled to a $200 discount for seniors, $100 for youth.
Players that coach another Roskill-Eden team (seniors, youth or junior) may be entitled to a discount. This is to be refunded at the end of the season providing coaches have attended 80% of trainings and games throughout the season.
Hardship grants are available at the discretion of the executive committee. Contact Rebecca Woolford before 1 July for details.

2022 Winter Season:
No Play Dates (Subject to change if AHA are asked to host international events during the season):
All players must wear a mouth guard and shin pads to all trainings and games. Without these they will not be allowed to play.
Team shirts are provided for all youths. These are distributed prior to the first game and collected in at the last game of the season. All players must buy their own Roskill socks (plain gold), navy blue shorts/skirt, hockey stick, shin pads, mouth guard and sport shoes.
